Electronicwave (Also known as post-vaporwave, progressive vaporwave) is a subgenre of vaporwave specializing in the combination of electronic music and vaporwave. It is characterized by being more experimental than conventional vaporwave, having influences from mashup, sound collage, and IDM. The movement started without the intention of being one thanks to some works by Blank Banshee, Nmesh and death's dynamic shroud, where they use several of these elements. Later in 2023 The City Reviewer created the term. His production is characterized by the use of slowed down vocals (Mostly pop music), and an original instrumental made from various genres of electronic music or various instrumental samples, which creates a collage of coherent sound, and varied rhythms, whether whether sampled or original, based on the IDM.
